Myo Exercises - Lesson 1

Spots in after breakfast and in the afternoon. Remember to dry the roof of your mouth first

 

Exercises are to be completed once a day

Tongue Exercises

Tip Pops

-          Smiling, teeth and lips parted

-          Suction the front of your tongue on the roof of your mouth and pop it off- keep your jaw still

-          3 x 20 reps

 

Side-to-side

-          Mouth open

-          Move the tip of your tongue side to side to touch the corners of your lips – keep your jaw still

-          3 x 20 reps

 

Tongue to top

-          Mouth open

-          Place the tip of the tongue on the roof of the mouth

-          3 x 20 seconds

 

Lip Exercises

Lip Pops

-          Roll your lips in over your teeth

-          Press your lips together and pop them apart

-          3 x 20 reps

 

Breathing Exercises

Blow Pipe

-          Place the ball in the pipe

-          Blow out for 5 seconds you can whilst ensuring the ball does not fly away

-          Repeat x 3

 

 

Posture Exercises

Knee Lift Balance

-          Place tongue on resting position, lips closed

-          Lift your knee and balance for 15 seconds x 3 reps

-          Repeat on other side

 

Chewing Exercise (whilst snacking)

Crocodile Chews

-          Place crackers between back teeth on each side

-          Bit down on both sides and chew for 15-20 bites like a crocodile

-          Repeat x 3
